VVT CORRELATION CODES

 On many Subaru vehicles, VVT correlation codes may be set and impossible to clear. These codes will usually set after issues with timing components and timing repairs.

   ECM monitors the timing correlation between both banks to crankshaft, if those values exceed a predetermined value, engine codes will set. Those values are now permanently retained in memory and will no longer update. In this state, ECM no longer possible to reset, even after correct repairs.  

   Dealer and aftermarket tools have no provision to perform the reset. Until now, only solution was to replace and program a new ECM. Don't replace it, I can Reset the ECM to a learning mode. After all necessary engine/timing repairs have been done,  ECM will learn and adjust to new timing values.

 Affected  are Subaru's with FA and FB engines. After all diagnostic and following TSB 02-163-16R , If recommended solution is replacing ECM, I can clear it.
