Some Hyundai and Kia vehicles are prone to Engine Computer failure. These computers are write once, meaning once the VIN is programmed at the factory, it's no longer possible to re-use it in a different vehicle.
Over the years, Hyundai and Kia have used many different computer manufacturers. Many of latest ECM's are made by KEFICO, manufactured under license by Bosch and Siemens/Continental.
New ECM's from dealership are often into thousands of dollars, plus programming charges. Using latest equipment available, we are able to clone/program the computer so it can be used again for a fraction of the price. In cases where the original ECM not available or data corrupt, possible to write VIN information and/or remove immobilizer information, so the vehicle will start.
Some of the ECM's supported:
BOSCH - CPEGD2.20x, CM 3.x, DCUxx, EDC15, EDC 17, ME7.9, MG1CS01x and others
DENSO and KEFICO, MEDG17.x.xx and others
DELPHI - DCM3.x, DCM6.x, Powertec20xx, MT38 and MT68
SIEMENS/CONTINENTAL (ECM-TCM) - SIMK.xxx, SIM2K.1xx, SIM2K.2xx, SIM2K.3xx
